Horseback Riding: Only campers who are registered for our Riding Camp will be riding once a day. They will learn to handle and care for our equine friends in a safe and fun environment. Camp provides ASTM approved riding helmets and campers must bring boots with 1/2" heels. Canoeing: Campers can work towards ORCA certification levels. They are taught safe boating and the basic paddle strokes. They will also learn how to portage (both tandem and solo), launch and stabilize a canoe as well as various rescue techniques.
Swimming: In the pool, campers will be given formal swim instruction where campers learn strokes, practice water safety and play water-based sports. The waterfront is a great place for our recreational swim program. Archery: A traditional camp activity where campers can sharpen their skills in marksmanship. Campers will be taught the safe use of bows and arrows and the skills needed to hit the bullseye!
Low Ropes: Campers will learn to work together and use good communication skills as they are challenged with elements like a giant spider's web, an electric floor, our acid swamp, a sleeping giant, our 6 and 10 foot walls and much more! Outdoor Adventure: Skills will be taught in outdoor cooking, fire building, and orienteering. Sports & Games: A variety of sports and games are played at camp, whether it be soccer, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, badminton or a great game of capture the flag.
Environmental Pursuits: We offer the chance for our campers to learn about birds, animals, trees, plants and insects. Our campers love to explore the forest, creeks and the trails around camp. Theme Day Friday: Each week is a new theme day. All campers are encouraged to dress up and really get into the theme of the week. A fantastic fun-filled day for everyone. Karaoke: One night a week "Camp Idol" takes over! Need we say more... This is one of the latest nights we have. Campfire Programs: Songs, skits and games all make up our very entertaining evenings. |
